The project

Pavement Software Solution (PSS) is a cloud based, industry specific ERP system with integrated CRM capabilities. It is developed by Brothers Paving & Concrete (BPC) as a replacement for their existing, FileMaker based application.

THE CLIENT

BPC is an asphalt and concrete construction company with customers in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Unsatisfied with their existing ERP solution, BPC decided to transfer all functionality and business logic into a modernized, cloud based platform. Built entirely from scratch, PSS was designed as a scalable application that can be accessed from both desktop and mobile devices. PSS will allow BPC to manage their operations much more efficiently than with their existing legacy application. Upon completion, it will also be sold to other pavement companies as a cloud service.

THE CHALLENGE

Binary Studio developed PSS from scratch, with black box access to the legacy application that had to be reimplemented

Our highly self-driven team assumes full ownership for the development process and continuously delivers visible results. This includes creating a scalable backend architecture based on Node.js and designing a robust MongoDB architecture with solid support for data validation. While the project is still ongoing, our team has already completed the core ERP functionality and BPC already adopted the system internally for production use. Main functionalities that were implemented byRazor Mass Systems include:

Vendor and asset management.
Bid management with support for automatic cost and margin calculations for different types of construction projects.
Automatic contract generation based on bid information and contract templates.
Creation of reports with project information for truck drivers and construction workers.
